Aleksandra is an Allied Health Assistant and final year Speech Pathology student at the University of Sydney. Aleksandra is passionate about empowering young minds to communicate effectively and connect with the world around them. A strong interest in people centred work from an early age led Aleksandra to pursue speech pathology, grounded in the belief that every person has the right to feel heard and participate meaningfully in community life using a unique communication style.
As a developing speech therapist, Aleksandra aims to provide family centred and neuro affirming care that empowers all types of communicators. Aleksandra prioritises building authentic relationships with families and collaborating with families as active participants in each child’s progress. Support may include expanding vocabulary, refining articulation skills or facilitating alternative and augmentative communication, with a focus on celebrating progress across each therapeutic journey.
Aleksandra has prior experience as an Allied Health Assistant and has completed university placements across paediatric and adult populations in clinical and community settings. Experience includes working with children with Autism, ADHD, Language Delay and Developmental Delay. These experiences have strengthened skills in implementing evidence based, play based therapy to support functional communication skills across school, home and social environments.
