About Us

Believe and Achieve Paediatric Therapy is a paediatric therapy provider in Campbelltown.

The business was established in 2018 by Occupational Therapist, Ruby Challita. Believe and Achieve Paediatric Therapy was founded on Ruby's love for paediatric occupational therapy and helping young people to believe in themselves.

Believe and Achieve Paediatric Therapy was formed with the primary goals of embracing the unique needs of each family, working in a holistic manner and placing a primary focus on meaningful connections between therapist, child and family.

Private Paying Patients

All private patients are required to pay for their therapy session upfront.

Please be aware that we do not process Medicare or private health insurance rebates on your behalf. Medicare and private health insurance only cover a portion of the session fee, and there is a gap fee that varies based on your child's referral type.

Payments can be made via EFTPOS or processed through our booking system using a debit card. Payment is required on the day of your therapy session.

Once the payment has been successfully processed, you will be issued with an itemised receipt, which you can use to claim any applicable Medicare or private health insurance rebates independently.

You can submit a Medicare claim online using either your Medicare online account through myGov or the Express Plus Medicare mobile app.

NDIS Participants

We welcome families accessing therapy through the NDIS and currently support children with:

  • Self-managed funding
  • Plan-managed funding

At this stage, we are unable to provide services for children with agency-managed (NDIA-managed) funding. If your child has agency-managed funding, services can still go ahead privately, however payment will need to be made directly by the family.

If you are unsure what type of funding your child has, feel free to reach out and we can help clarify.

Self-Managed NDIS Funding
Invoices are issued via email and are payable within 5 business days. A card is required to be kept on file at intake. If payment is not received within this timeframe, the card on file will be processed.

Plan-Managed NDIS Funding
Invoices are sent directly to your plan manager for processing. Please ensure plan manager details are provided during intake to avoid any delays.

Therapy Process

Starting Therapy

Starting your child’s therapy journey is exciting! We understand this process can feel overwhelming for families who haven’t done therapy before. Below is an overview of the general therapy process:

Initial Contact

You will be contacted by the reception team to schedule an ongoing appointment time. Your child’s therapy sessions will occur at the same time and location each session. Sessions frequencies are either weekly or fortnightly.

Intake Forms

The reception team will send you an initial email containing some initial forms, a service agreement and a link to this welcome pack. These forms are to be completed digitally, and must be completed and submitted before your child's first appointment. If initial forms are not completed prior to the first session, the session will be allocated to completing the forms.

Assessment

The initial appointment is generally a “getting to know you” session. Your child’s therapist may complete a formal or informal assessment. The assessment phase may include a series of standardised activities, measures, observations and discussion. If requested, your therapist can formulate a report following the assessment to outline the assessment results and provide some specific recommendations.

Goal Setting

Together, you and your child’s therapist will set measurable goals to work towards in therapy. These will be the focus of your child’s therapy sessions, and will be measured frequently to determine if ongoing therapy is required.

Therapy

Your child’s therapist will formulate a therapy program to work towards achieving therapy goals. Therapy sessions can be delivered in our clinic, via Telehealth using Zoom, or as a mobile session. Please discuss your preference for service provision with your child’s therapist.

Review

Your child’s progress will be reviewed periodically to determine progress and assess whether any new goals have arisen during their therapy journey. If your child has achieved their goals and does not have any outstanding goals, they will graduate and become a Believe and Achieve Paediatric Therapy alumni.

Group Therapy

Junior Achievers

The aim of Junior Achievers is to create a supportive and engaging group environment where children are encouraged to explore their senses and the world around them.

Sessions are designed to spark curiosity, foster creativity, and build confidence through hands-on activities and shared experiences.

The program places a strong focus on:

  • Developing social connection skills
  • Encouraging communication through neuro-affirming approaches
  • Nurturing friendships in a playful, natural and enjoyable way

Through collaborative games, sensory exploration and supported interactions, children have opportunities to express themselves, and learn from one another in a safe and welcoming setting.

Big School Achievers

Our school readiness program 'Big School Achievers' is the perfect way to help children feel confident, prepared, and excited for the big step into school.

Held during the Summer holidays, this program is carefully designed to build essential readiness skills through a mix of sensory supports, social exploration, and positive exposure to real school routines.

Each session blends playful learning with purposeful activities, giving children the chance to practise building friendships and developing independence in a supportive environment.

From hands-on sensory stations to group games and fun classroom-style experiences, every moment is planned to ease the transition to school while making learning fun.

Children will leave feeling capable, connected; ready to take on their first day with a smile.

Creative Achievers

Creative Achievers is a school holiday art therapy program designed to inspire self-expression, build confidence, and support emotional wellbeing in children.

Led by our experienced psychotherapist and art therapist, each session uses the power of creativity to help children explore their feelings, develop coping skills, and connect with others in a supportive space.

Through painting, drawing and other creative hands-on activities, children are encouraged to experiment and celebrate their unique ideas.

The program blends artistic exploration with gentle therapeutic guidance, making it a fun, safe, and meaningful way for children to relax, express themselves, and grow during the holidays.

School Visits

School Approval

All school visits are subject to individual school approval. Each school has its own policies and processes, and we are unable to guarantee that a school will approve therapy sessions or the requested timing.

Schools ultimately determine when therapists can attend, which may not always align with therapist availability.

Commencing Services

As appointment times cannot be held without an active service, therapy will need to begin in an alternative format (e.g. in-clinic or via an alternative service) while school approval is being sought.

If approval is confirmed, sessions can be transitioned to the school environment where appropriate.

Required Documentation

School visits involve a significant amount of documentation, which may include:

  • School visit consent forms
  • Agreements with the school outlining goals, approaches and child's profile
  • Therapist documentation and credentials (Paid Working With Children Check, ASCIA Anaphylaxis Training and Child Protection Awareness Training). Our therapists hold these qualifications, and update them annually as required by NSW Education
  • Risk assessments and site-specific requirements
  • Communication and collaboration plans with school staff

Session Structure

School-based sessions often look a little different to in-clinic therapy.

Many schools require therapy sessions to be completed within the classroom or a small room nearby.

Schools require therapists to complete handover and session summary documentation following each visit. This can impact the overall time available for direct therapy within the session.

Considering the Best Fit

While school visits can support therapy within the classroom environment, in-clinic sessions often allow for:

  • More consistent scheduling
  • Access to specialised equipment and resources
  • Longer, uninterrupted therapy time
  • Greater flexibility in session structure

For many children, a combination of clinic-based therapy and school collaboration (e.g. communication with teachers, strategy sharing, or school observations) can be a more effective approach.

School Visit Consent Form

A completed consent form is required prior to any communication with or attendance at your child’s school.
