Shunova

Shunova is a final year Speech Pathology student and Allied Health Assistant who is passionate about supporting children to build meaningful communication skills that empower participation in everyday life.

Shunova has always been drawn to working with children and within the health field, inspired by the powerful impact communication has on social connection, learning and overall wellbeing. She is motivated by watching a child grow in confidence and achieve goals. Shunova feels privileged to support children in developing skills to communicate with the world around them.

With previous experience as an Allied Health Assistant and university placements across a range of settings, Shunova has supported children with diverse communication profiles, including Autism, ADHD and Developmental Language Delays. Experience includes delivering therapy targeting preverbal language development, AAC use, social communication, language development such as vocabulary and grammar expansion, and speech sound articulation.

Shunova is committed to providing neuro affirming, family centred care. Priority is placed on building authentic connections with each child and family, taking time to understand individual strengths and goals. Approach is collaborative and strengths focused, ensuring therapy is tailored to each child’s individual journey.
